St. Gabriel’s Catholic School and St. Michael’s Catholic Academy together create one outstanding co-educational Independent Catholic school serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade on two adjacent campuses in Austin, Texas. The Lower School is comprised of PreK 3-4th grades, the Middle School houses grades 5-8, and the High School contains grades 9-12. 5th Grade Math Teacher

For the 23-24 school year, St. Gabriel's Catholic School seeks an experienced, dynamic math teacher with a deep passion for math and education, who continuously collaborates to implement the math curriculum in a way that is consistent with our philosophies and practices. St. Gabriel's math teachers have a strong, comprehensive base in math, utilize best practices in math instruction, ensure that students engage and learn at high levels, and integrate a wide range of resources beyond the textbook. They strive to enrich the quality of instruction for all students in on-level and accelerated classes.  The instructional position also includes serving as an advisor to support and mentor a small grade level group (8-10) in their social emotional learning as well as in their practice of academic habits.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has at least 3 years of teaching experience.
• Demonstrates experience in and continues to develop expertise in social-emotional learning, project-based learning, STEAM integration, technology-rich and differentiated instruction.
• Thrives in a collaborative environment designing and delivering innovative and creative cross-curricular instructional units to students with diverse learning styles and needs.
