Position:Seeking applications for Outstanding Teachers in Kindergarten to 8th Grade

Required Qualifications (Must Possess One of the Following):
A practicing Catholic in good-standing.
An undergraduate degree or equivalent certification in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a Teaching and Education-related program.
For those without an education degree or certification, a minimum of 2 years of lead teacher classroom experience at the K-8 level.
Florida State teacher certification for K-8 teacher positions is highly preferred (or in progress). A minimum of 5+ years of K-8 lead teacher experience, in Catholic or Independent school settings, will be given strong consideration in lieu of certification.
Recent graduates of Catholic Colleges and Universities who possess an Education degree and plan to work towards certification are also invited to apply. (Certification assistance is available for outstanding candidates).

Student Assessment: Evaluate academic and social development of each student through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
Tech Proficiency: Be proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and student information systems. Use our SIS to maintain accurate and current records of student progress and reports.
Communication: Demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills.
Customer Service: Provide excellent and responsive customer service to our parents and guardians.
Traits: Be reliable, flexible, organized, hard-working, patient, possess excellent communication skills, and be outstanding with children.
Preferred Qualifications:
Catholic Background: Practicing Catholic in good standing and able to teach Catholic theology.
Catholic School Experience: Previous experience in a Catholic PK-8 school setting is a plus but not a hiring pre-requisite.
Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching in Grades K-8, or experience student teaching.
Orton-Gillingham: Experience with Orton-Gillingham (K-3) (not a hiring pre-requisite, training is available).
Physical and Other Demands Include:
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading.
Closely monitor students in various locations, inside and outside, including athletic fields and areas with noise and activity.
Maintain composure and communicate appropriately in words and actions with students, parents, and fellow teachers.
