Notre Dame Preparatory School, an independent, Catholic school for girls in grades 6-12 in Towson, is seeking a full-time Upper Level campus minister/religion teacher for the 2024-25 academic year. The right candidate will enjoy working in a mission-driven, religious educational setting.
A successful candidate must be an active Catholic.
The school seeks applicants who reflect and support a commitment to educating young women in the tradition of the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND), the spirit of the Second Vatican Council, and the practice of prayer and social justice. The charism and educational vision of the School Sisters of Notre Dame are that the world can be changed through the transformation of persons and embracing a Christian vision of what the human person is called to be and what the world is destined to become.
Responsibilities:
Plan and facilitate student retreats, prayers services and school liturgies.
Schedule confessions in Advent and Lent and other related activities
Teach Upper Level religion classes (two classes for AY 2024 – 2025; subject to change annually).
Coordinate activities that foster the spiritual life of students in the Upper Level.
Serve as UL Advisor for assigned cohort.
Work collaboratively with members of the Religion department on developing/improving curriculum.
Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned, such as advisory.
Participate in department and school-wide meetings.
Participate in ongoing professional development.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Work collaboratively to develop and enhance curriculum both vertically and horizontally.
Engage in a variety of classroom instructional methods and have experience with integrating technology in the classroom.

Requirements:
Prior teaching experience and experience in campus/youth ministry. Three to five years experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Liturgy, or Religious Studies; Master’s degree preferred.
May include evening and/or weekend hours, as needed.
