Director of De La Salle Program (Special Education Program)
The De La Salle Program was initiated in 2012 as a full-inclusion program for cognitively challenged 7th through 12th grade students. Students involved in the program perform academically between the second and tenth grades, are verbally competent, demonstrate adequate writing skills, interact socially with others, and work in group situations. They function independently at school with minimal distraction to themselves or others, and they follow the high behavioral standards of Cardinal Newman School. De La Salle participants have the opportunity to assimilate within their peer group by spending the majority of each school day in college preparatory classes, while receiving 1 to 2 periods per day of Math and English instruction at their functional level to increase ma
