PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Senior Director of Business Development & Philanthropy at NCEA will drive integrated strategies to enhance the organization's mission and growth in support of Catholic education. This role will oversee corporate and vendor floor sales to support financial sustainability. The Director will foster strategic partnerships, and manage related/applicable, etc. budgets to maximize revenue and organizational impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify, develop and strengthen prospective and existing individual and organizational relationships to support overall mission and growth.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners.
Ensure collaboration with marketing/communications to ensure all contractual partnership deliverables are executed.
Manage the corporate sponsorship sales and vendor floor sales teams to maximize revenue through strategic partnerships and sales initiatives for events.
Negotiate all applicable vendor agreements to ensure compliance with company policy.
Collaborate with other departments to align business development initiatives with organizational objectives and ensure cohesive execution.
Represent NCEA at conferences, events and meetings to promote the organization and build networks with key stakeholders and industry leaders.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and revenue streams to support the growth and sustainability of NCEA's programs and services.
Advise corporate partners on sales strategies, specific to the Catholic education market to derive the highest return on investment for partners.
Oversee and develop an annual budget of $1.5 million in partnership and vendor floor sales, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, cost control and alignment with organizational financial goals and objectives.
Track business development leads and provide detailed reports and analysis to the CEO and the leadership team, ensuring strategic alignment and informed decision-making at the executive level.
Collaborate with events and marketing teams, along with other appropriate staff, to organize and run successful fundraising events.
Establish goals for individual giving and oversee development efforts to achieve those goals.
Implement a strategy for researching and applying to grant organizations.
Prepare detailed reports as requested by the President/CEO and/or Board of Directors.
All other duties as assigned by the President/CEO.
QUALIFICATIONS:
7-10 years’ of leadership experience in Business development or related fields.
Proven track record of successful leadership in sales, advancement and/or partnership development.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing significant budgets.
Experience negotiating contracts (with values of $100K and above) with C-Suite Executives preferred.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team towards achieving excellence and meeting strategic objectives.
Ability to demonstrate a high level of integrity and transparency when working with all constituent groups.
Deep understanding of the educational landscape and a passion for the mission of Catholic education.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
