Bishop England High School in Charleston, SC, has the following openings for the 2024-2025 school year.
English Teacher – Ideal candidates are certified to teach secondary English and have experience teaching English III and/or IV. Must have a degree in English.
Learning Specialist – Ideal candidates have experience developing and managing academic support plans for degree-seeking high school students based on psycho-educational evaluations and helping students with long-term assignments, study skills, organization, and self-advocacy. They have experience working with teachers to ensure effective instructional and educational support for students with a diagnosed disability in a college preparatory program. Special Education degree not required.
Options Program Teacher – Ideal candidates have experience working with students living with intellectual disabilities in an academic setting. They have experience modifying content to provide special education students with access to the general education curriculum. A special education degree is preferred.
Personal Finance and Economics Teacher – Ideal candidates have a degree in business or economics or secondary certification in social studies and experience teaching Economics and/or Personal Finance at the high school level.
Physical Education Teacher – For boys’ PE. Ideal candidates have a degree in physical education, exercise science, or a related field of study. Experience teaching high school preferred.
Social Studies Teacher – Ideal candidates have certification in secondary social studies and experience teaching US History, US Government, and Economics.
Theology Teacher – Candidates must be practicing Catholics and have a degree in theology or theological studies. Experience teaching high school preferred.
