This position is an integral member of the Development team and is responsible for the database as well as general office support. They will manage the data health and integrity of all constituent and gift data and ensure this data is properly operationalized and accessible. The ideal candidate is analytical, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented, while also being mindful of the importance of building meaningful relationships with the school’s various constituents. It will be important that this person has an attitude of “yes” and seeks ways to add value to donors and the development team. This individual is responsible for ensuring high standards of quality, consistency, and accuracy across all development records and research reports. The position is broken down into approximately 75% database work and 25% events.
Holy Child recently transitioned its fundraising systems to Blackbaud products and proficiency with Blackbaud is required but the ideal candidate will also have experience with Veracross and GiveCampus. This is a full-time position with flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities:
Data Management
Demonstrate advanced capabilities with data management, database optimization, and data analytics.
Research industry best practices for database management and discuss any suggested updates to procedures with the Head of Development and promptly update department written procedures and alert department staff if there are any changes to protocols.
Promote positive donor relations by helping to ensure the accuracy, confidentiality and integrity of biographical, demographical, gift records and other information.
Track the overall data health to establish a baseline and data health goal and subsequently provide the Head of Development with a quarterly report.
Oversees all Omatic data transitions ensuring Raisers Edge has all updated information on current and prospective families from Veracross.
Manages annual school year end roll over.
Maintain lists of active codes specific to Holy Child and advises the best method to track information when new coding is needed.
Manage data between integrating systems presently including Veracross, Intacct, GiveCampus, Venmo, and Onecause.
Continually update and maintain accurate contact information for constituents received via numerous channels – internal communications, returned mail, contact update forms, gift correspondence, change or address services, etc.
Reports and Lists
Pull segmented mailing lists for solicitations and correspondence.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of progress against annual fundraising goals.
Design and run regular reports as needed including but not limited to constituency-specific participation, giving society updates and campaign tracking.
Prepare all CASE, NAIS, and similar surveys and reports.
Document and maintain procedures, workflows, processes, and complex functions.
Address critical needs that occur on a short notice and require immediate action and serve as a resource for team members.
Prospect Management
Assist with Prospect Management by importing contact notes, or creating a process to do so, as well as producing the Prospect Management Tracking Report.
Conducts annual Target Analytics Research.
Gift Management
Process all gifts, pledges, pledge payments, matching claims, tribute gifts, stock gifts and other contributions within 24 hours ensuring accuracy of all records including proper soft crediting when appropriate.
Distribute Daily Gift Reports.
Serve as the liaison to the Business Office and reconcile all gifts.
Produce gift acknowledgement letters within two business days to be reviewed by the Head of Development and then oversee the distribution to donors.
Ensure all pledge reminders are sent in a timely manner.
Coordinate annual reports and stewardship materials for endowments and restricted funds with input from the primary constituent manager.
Send out annual tax statements each January.
Directly connect with donors regarding contribution confirmations, recurring gifts and gift inquiries as needed.
Events
Assist with event activities, particularly event gift processing, registration forms, mailing lists, tracking RSVPs as well as staffing events.
Administrative Support
Assist Head of Development through other duties as assigned.
Bachelors’ degree or relevant work experience, including three-five years’ experience working in development and/or data management. The ideal candidate will have experience working in development and data management in an independent school.
Extensive knowledge of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing a Raiser’s Edge database.
Understanding of financial systems and ability to interpret and report on financial information.
Experience in data analysis, gift processing, and donor acknowledgment; familiar with annual fundraising cycle and common development terminology and needs.
Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information.
Willingness to be a team player and member of the community.
Interact with all community members in a professional and respectful manner whether communicating in person, on the phone, or by email.
Strong understanding of, and respect for, Catholic faith, beliefs, and practice.

Occasional night and weekend work is required.
Able to lift small items of up to 20 pounds occasionally.
