Position: Upper School Math Specialist/Teacher
Reports to: Upper School Division Head/ Upper School Math Department Chair
FLSA: Exempt, full-time
Salary Range: $62,000 - $85,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience

Sacred Heart seeks an experienced candidate who has strong teaching, academic, and interpersonal skills. The Upper School Math Specialist/Teacher works with the Head of the Upper School to ensure that the Goals and Criteria of the Convent of the Sacred Heart are implemented for the education of the whole child.

Required:

• An understanding of the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart as well as the ability to articulate them
• Masters Degree in Education (Learning Disabilities preferred)
• Experience working in schools teaching math or as a math specialist
• Knowledge and/or work with special education/learning support programs
• Ability to work cooperatively and independently as needed
• Knowledge of, appreciation for, and demonstrated commitment to anti-racist, anti-bias education, multicultural teaching, and culturally responsive pedagogy
• Strong technology skills
• Extremely detailed-oriented

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Teach Math Classes(s)
• Read psychoeducational evaluations
• Help coordinate the integration of math support in the Student Success Center
• Collaborate with Math faculty in developing diverse teaching and assessment strategies
• Maintain an active role in supporting students as an advisor, trip chaperone including overnight trips, and participate in Admissions events
