St. John Berchmans Cathedral School is a PK-3 through 8th grade elementary school of the Diocese of Shreveport, located in Shreveport, Louisiana. It serves approximately 150-200 students and families with a population of 82% Catholic and 15 % non-Catholic students. The vision of the schools is to create a Catholic school in which students are prepared to become self-directed, life-long learners empowered by the gospel message of Jesus Christ to live a life of virtue, integrity, and service to others.

Qualifications:
A practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church.
A commitment to the development of a Catholic community of faith.
A master’s degree, preferably in educational administration or leadership.
A minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in Catholic Schools. Such experience should be sufficiently broad to provide an understanding of the PreK-3 through 8th structure and the roles and responsibilities of an educational leader in an elementary school.
Be eligible to hold appropriate certifications in the state of Louisiana.
Participation in the Office of Catholic Schools Program for new leaders and open to other summer leadership opportunities.
Leadership ability as evidenced by performance in educational assignments, i.e., have the capacity, enthusiasm, intelligence and patience to inspire teachers, children, parents, clergy, and local school community leaders.
