The Diocese seeks a Director of Mission Advancement at an exciting time for the Diocese. The Director reports to the Executive Director of Wyoming Catholic Ministries Foundation (WCMF). The position is responsible for annual and major gift fundraising initiatives to meet both the short and long-term funding needs of WCMF and its partner ministries including but not limited to the Catholic Charities of Wyoming, Diocese of Cheyenne, St. Joseph’s Children’s Home, St. Joseph’s Society, and St. Paul’s Newman Center
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Development planning;
- Annual and major gifts; and,
- External communications.

Candidates must have a BA/BS in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Non-Profit Administration, or related field with a minimum of 1 – 3 years of professional experience in business or a non-profit environment. He/she must be able to communicate effectively in both the written and spoken word and have an ability to understand, appreciate, and communicate a passion for the work of the Catholic Church throughout Wyoming. Additionally, candidates must be a practicing Catholic of proven faith, good morals, and good reputation.
RESIDENCY EXPECTATIONS: While maintaining residency in Wyoming is a plus, the committee is open to engaging credible candidates residing within a 250-mile drive of Cheyenne. This includes locales from Casper Wyoming south, southern Idaho, western Nebraska, and the greater Denver region and northern Colorado.
