Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 commensurate with background and experience
Responsibilities:
Teach high school-level Film, Photography & Digital Media Courses
Oversee the operation of The Ursuline Broadcast Studio
Develop Film, Photography & Digital Media programs, including curriculum development geared towards maximizing the technical capabilities of existing onsite studio production facility
Collaborate with colleagues to develop integrated digital media projects and units of study that are aligned with the broader Visual & Media Arts curricula and departmental goals
Serve as moderator for Film Club
Establish relationships with local television and radio stations to help foster student internship opportunities
Work with school administration and marketing/communications team to help facilitate visual storytelling projects for use in promotional materials and social media campaigns
Work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues for curriculum planning, student support, and mentoring
Differentiate instruction to attend to the learning and social-emotional needs of students
Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administration
Serve as a full community member by attending meetings, participating in committees, and volunteering for various duties supervising students
Contribute constructively to all faculty discussions and continue to grow professionally (i.e. conferences, in-service training, staying current on professional literature)
Experience/Qualifications:
Passion for teaching in Catholic, faith-based education
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Photography, Digital Media or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
Experience teaching film and video production, editing, cinematography techniques, photography, editing, graphic design and visual communication strategies
Knowledge of software, for example iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects,
Photoshop, Adobe Animate
Strong visual communication, storytelling, character development and animation skills.
Knowledge of instructional strategies, including project-based learning, that utilize students' life experiences in the achievement of learning objectives in Digital Media Art courses
