Justin-Siena is seeking a full-time high school Religious Studies teacher for the 2023-24 school year. The essential responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Teaching five sections of Religious Studies;
Collaborating within the Religious Studies Department to develop and deliver our curriculum;
Teaching tenants of the Catholic faith and beliefs to students of a variety of religious backgrounds;
Serving on teams to develop whole-school initiatives;
Advising a small group of students;
Engaging meaningfully in student life or athletic programming;
Performing weekend, evening, or overnight duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Candidates must be practicing Catholics in good standing. Candidates must possess demonstrated competence in the content area as well as research-based best pedagogical practices. A degree in Theology required; an advanced degree is preferred. Preference will be given to those with upper division experience in independent schools, particularly those in the Catholic tradition. Preference will also be given to those with the ability to teach all courses from Scripture to World Religions and who have a keen interest in incorporating appropriate innovative technologies. We seek an active interest in developing courses with substantive interdisciplinary, experiential, and service components.
We seek candidates with track records of positive, professional collaboration in team settings. An understanding of the developmental needs of adolescents is necessary; therefore, we seek a healthy combination of positivity, flexibility, energy, creativity, and sense of humor. We seek demonstrated experience working in a diverse, inclusive community and strong cross-cultural competency skills.

Justin-Siena is a co-educational independent Catholic High School sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers.
