Justin-Siena is seeking a Social Studies teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.
The essential responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide for the overall good order of the school;
Teaching five sections in the field in which they are qualified ;
Provide collaborative leadership within the Administrative Team;
Advising a small group of students;
Engaging meaningfully in student life;
Performing weekend, evening, or overnight duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Candidates must possess demonstrated competence in the content area and in using research-based pedagogical practices. An advanced degree in the content area is preferred. Preference will also be given to those with experience teaching college preparatory, Honors, and Advanced Placement courses, grades 9-12, who have a demonstrated ability to engage students actively in their learning, and who hold a current California Teaching Credential. Preference will be given to those with experience in Lasallian or other Catholic high schools. We seek candidates with track records of positive, professional collaboration in team settings. An understanding of the developmental needs of adolescents is necessary; therefore, we seek a healthy combination of competency, positivity, flexibility, energy, creativity, and a sense of humor. We seek candidates with demonstrated experience working in a diverse, inclusive community and strong cross-cultural competency skills.

Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Pre-employment background screening is required for all positions. The salary scale for a full-time teacher is $55,400 - 102,500 depending on education and experience.

Justin-Siena is a co-educational independent Catholic High School sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers. We serve over 625 students from the Napa Valley as well as the neighboring Solano and Sonoma counties. We have a strong commitment to serve those who could not otherwise afford a quality Catholic secondary school experience with one third of our student body receiving tuition assistance. The school operates a small residential on-campus boarding program for both domestic and international students as well as an international host family program.
