OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS
Mount Carmel Health System, one of the largest systems in central Ohio, is actively seeking an Associate OB-GYN Residency Program Director for our ACGME accredited, joint OB-GYN residency program with The Ohio State University, located in Columbus.
The OB-GYN Residency Program is approved for a total of 44 residents. Several OB-GYN faculty support the GME program along with Mount Carmel's full coverage Academic OB Hospitalists that provide 24/7 coverage.
The Associate Program Director organizes, coordinates, and supervises aspects of the integrated OB-GYN Residency Program at Mount Carmel in accordance with ACGME Requirements. Remains current with clinical developments and practice in OBGYN. Actively participates in professional activities related to resident training, both clinical and educational. Provides leadership and supervises OBGYN residents in didactic and clinical educational activities.
Candidate MUST have:
Substantial knowledge of and experience in graduate medical education in an ACGME accredited teaching hospital and OBGYN program.
The ability to communicate effectively with resident physicians, teaching faculty, hospital administration and associates of the Mount Carmel Health System.
A passion for leadership development and mentoring residents.
Full and unrestricted practice of license from the Ohio State Medical Board with current OBGYN Board-Certification.
Mount Carmel OB-GYN:
Mount Carmel has obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Carmel East, Mount Carmel St. Ann's, and Mount Carmel Grove City. Mount Carmel shares an OB-GYN residency with The Ohio State University - 44 residents. In addition to providing care to the Columbus underserved community, Mount Carmel manages high-risk pregnancies and has Level III NICUs. Mount Carmel employs MFMs on all three of our campuses.
About Mount Carmel GME:
Mount Carmel Graduate Medical Education educates residents in unique environments involving 3 different hospitals, each serving a distinct patient population, as well as our state-of-the-art simulation center. Mount Carmel Grove City is our flagship training site. Residents rotate within a multitude of environments to provide a broad clinical experience. Mount Carmel Graduate Medical Education currently has six ACGME fully accredited residency programs including: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB-GYN, Orthopedics, General Surgery and Transitional year, as well as a Geriatric Fellowship.
