The Sr Web Developer reports to the Director of Web and Collaboration and will be responsible for design, development, and deployment of web-based applications and tools that maximally leverage available technology infrastructure. The individual serves as a technical lead on web application projects, collaborates extensively with other ITS departments, and helps set direction for web development and deployment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, maintain, and support Web Applications and Infrastructure
Provide web programming and technical support for college web solutions and applications, and serve as the lead systems manager for such in a cloud environment.
Monitor the production status of existing applications and provide support, as needed.
Able to adapt to the code-base of existing applications and suggest improvements, fix bugs, and add new features, as needed.
Coordinate infrastructure maintenance, as relevant to the particulars of the hosting environment
Rebuild older applications with newer more reliable coding standards while adhering to Accessibility standards.
Develop and deploy web applications that interact with databases (MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL, etc) that integrate with Manhattan College's web, authentication, and authorization infrastructure
Create middleware software that efficiently allows information flow to and from different web services and internal systems.
Create and utilized API's
Implement and maintain content management systems and digital signage systems, mobile applications including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and creation of Manhattan College-specific modules. Work in collaboration with departments to resolve issues.
Utilize tools to promote a culture of automation and devOps
Implement tools for monitoring and troubleshooting web applications, and addresses any interruptions in services and/or functionality within an application
Works closely with Project Managers and other members of the Development Team to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Conduct code reviews on projects in order to minimize bugs and ensure that overall code health is improving over time.
Able to create and maintain documentation on projects
Create and maintain a method of unit testing for projects
Utilize version control software to develop and maintain projects
Use ticketing, project management, and other software appropriately as per department best practices
Identifies new technologies, methodologies, and opportunities to enhance current business processes with web applications, API’s, and documentation
Stays up to date on current and emerging technologies and follows best practices.

Ability to deploy applications on Google cloud/server environments
BSc/MSc in Computer Science or relevant field
Knowledge in IOS/Android
3-5 years experience
Salary: $80,000 To 90,000 Per Year
