The IT Manager will be responsible for information technology and computer systems that support the University’s goals. The IT Manager will have the responsibility for understanding the impact of advanced information systems technology on teaching and research within a diverse environment. The IT Manager will work with the Assistant Vice President for Information Services to develop strategic plans, security plans, policies, and operations, integration and implementation of information systems and services.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the information technology department including directing staff, who support administrative computing, networking, user services, and other information technology functions
Oversee project management for the department
Supervise Office 365 Administration
Manage employee account access (ex. VPN, Azure)
Manage Information Technology operating budget
Coordinate vendor contracts for all new computer equipment, software and systems purchased for the University
Collaborates with the Assistant VP for Information Services to establish strategic goals, security plans, policies, and procedures for the information technology department
Consult with administration and department heads to exchange information, present new approaches, and discuss equipment/system changes
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of current IT trends and policies
Technology leadership experience
Expertise in one or more of the following technical areas: instructional technology, infrastructure and networking, cybersecurity, and/or administrative systems design and development
Progressive experience in IT management
Strong project management skills
Collaboration abilities
Organizational skills
Exceptional communication skills
Experience - Preferred
3 to 5 years I.T. supervisory experience
