St. Gabriel’s Catholic School and St. Michael’s Catholic Academy together create one outstanding co-educational Independent Catholic school serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade on two adjacent campuses in Austin, Texas. The Lower School is comprised of PreK 3-4th grades, the Middle School houses grades 5-8, and the High School contains grades 9-12. St. Gabriel’s and St. Michael’s is a Christ-centered, college preparatory learning community, inspiring lives of service, courage, personal integrity, and intellectual curiosity. St. Gabriel's Catholic School is seeking lead teachers for the 2023 summer season. SGCS is a co-educational Catholic school serving students from Pre-K 3 through 8th grade in Austin, Texas. The Lower School is comprised of grades PK3-4th and the Middle School houses grades 5-8. SGCS provides a challenging and enriched curriculum that allows graduates to achieve success in the high schools of their choice. 

Lead teachers must possess a love for children in all their developmental stages, the ability to work well on a team, excellent oral and written communication skills with both colleagues and the community, and be motivated, life-long learners.  

The ideal candidate, therefore, is a dynamic person who has teaching experience, has demonstrated a passion for students and for teaching, and is either familiar with, or willing to develop expertise in, summer camp programming.  SGCS strives to create positive relationships with parents and the community, thus teachers are expected to demonstrate a willingness to partner with parents in order to create meaningful growth and development for students.
