Strengthening the financial sustainability of the school by increasing enrollment, growing the endowment, and instilling a more profound culture of philanthropy;
Actively and strategically promoting the Servite mission and value proposition in the broader community;
Engaging the entire Servite community in a new strategic planning process in preparation for the self-study year to retain the maximum WCEA and WASC accreditations;
Partnering with the Principal to attract, mentor, and retain faculty members who effectively embrace the charisms of the Order of Friar Servants of Mary.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes
Servite High School operates in the President/Principal Leadership Model. The President leads the school and focuses primarily on external relationships and fiscal matters, and the Principal is responsible for the daily operation of the school. The President and Principal will operate in lockstep, aligned in their shared vision for the school and their commitment to its success.
The next President of Servite will be a practicing Catholic who knows how to set a tone of excellence, acceptance, compassion, and faith-filled fellowship. The President is expected to have an advanced degree and will be expected to fulfill most, if not all, of the following qualifications:
Demonstrated track record of fundraising success;
Skilled in creating and adhering to budgets reflecting the priorities of the community;
Foresight and the ability to develop and implement strategic plans;
A commitment to academic, athletic, and extracurricular excellence;
History of embracing people of all faiths through the Catholic lens of universal acceptance;
Senior leadership experience, preferably, but not exclusively, in Catholic secondary education, including, in particular, the President/Principal model of administration;
Personal presentation skills, both oral and written, that motivate and inspire others;
Embraces the Servite charism of working collegially and understanding with compassion;
Possession of a character set that includes the ability to listen to various points of view and discern the best course of action.
