Job Summary: The Vice President (VP) of Finance and Administration is a member of the Leadership Team and will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, and logistics of all non-instructional functions of both the High School and the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) with a results-driven approach. This position will be the subject matter expert for school operations successfully executing systems, processes, and policies in all non-instructional areas. The VP will also monitor contractual obligations, evaluate existing internal controls, and make recommendations on how to improve fiscal integrity and operational efficiency. The VP manages a team of staff and contractors and ensures that the organization follows all local, district, state and federal laws and regulations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Finance
Prepares annual operating budget and annual capital budget for submission to the President and Board of Directors.
Ensures operations budget is monitored and followed.
Develops and maintains a 3–5-year budget projection.
Reviews financial statements, 990s, and any other audits throughout the year.
Oversees an annual external financial audit process.
Maintains weekly cash flow and 12-month forecast of cash flow.
Directs the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the President, the Leadership Team, the Board of Directors, the Archdiocese of Washington (ADW), the Cristo Rey Network, and others, as requested.
Administrates banking, investment, and credit card accounts.
Establishes, implements, and maintains effective internal controls.
Facilities
Develops and tracks facilities plan to ensure year-long services are met.
Works with the President and governance to set annual plans and reviews capital repair and replacement needs.
IT
Ensures the presence and functionality of appropriate technology to maintain the security of the students, staff, building and grounds.
Ensures the technological needs of the school and CWSP are met for the school year.
Human Resources
Collaborates with the Director of Human Resources & Operations for the performance evaluation process.
Works with the President and the HR Director to develop compensation and benefits strategies.
Oversees the maintenance of personnel files.
Oversees new employee on-boarding.
Works with the HR Director to address any personnel or parent complaints or issues.
Ensures compliance with applicable HR laws and policies.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field required; Master’s degree and/or CPA strongly preferred.
Minimum 8 - 10 years of progressive not-for-profit work experience in finance/accounting and business administration.
Experience with Human Resource management required.
Experience with facilities management preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel in particular, and database management.
Advanced knowledge of Quickbooks or similar accounting software
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful, but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School and Corporate Work Study Program
Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School (DBCR) is a private, Catholic, college-prep high school that is a partnership between the Archdiocese of Washington, the Salesians of Don Bosco, and the Cristo Rey Network. DBCR was founded in 2007 in Takoma Park, MD, and now serves 400 students of diverse backgrounds from financially challenged families who live in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. DBCR also has a unique Corporate Work Study Program that places students in local businesses and non-profits where they learn the expectations of the corporate world and earn over 50% of the cost of their education.
