SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The chaplain ministers to the emotional and spiritual needs of patients, family, and staff. She/He embraces multi-faith chaplaincy and has the ability to minister to the needs of a diverse population. As members of the multidisciplinary teams, the chaplain participates in the healing process of the whole person.
Master's Degree in theology, divinity, pastoral ministry or spirituality or related field from an accredited college or university
Minimum one (1) year experience in hospital chaplaincy or related health care field
Board Certification (APC, NACC, SCA, or equivalent) or eligible for board certification that has to be accomplished within two (2) years from hire date
At least four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed from accredited CPE center
Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing, with solid understanding of Catholic theology, Sacraments and sacristan role
In good standing with faith tradition and letter stating such required
