Job Description:Job SummaryReporting to the Applications Manager, the Academic Applications Developer is responsible for developing, supporting, maintaining, and testing software applications for the academic units at Holy Cross. This includes working with others in IT and with faculty to develop and maintain applications in support of the teaching, research, and scholarship needs at the College. They may also serve as a backup to the business operation developers units.
Major Areas of Responsibility- Design, develop, and maintain quality, academic applications for the College.
- Build expertise in both front and back-end languages and frameworks.
- Build expertise in database technologies.
- Build expertise in Drupal and Wordpress.
- Assist on business applications as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or graduation from a technical bootcamp with demonstrable software development skills.
- Experience or interest in mobile application development.
- Experience with popular stacks
- Knowledge of back-end languages (Python, Ruby) and JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React)
- Familiarity with databases (MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL) and web servers.
- Familiarity with DevOps and cloud deployments.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Additional Information:This is a full-time, exempt-level level position with an annual salary. The College is committed to providing competitive market pay for its employees. The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $74,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
