The Annual Giving & Volunteer Engagement Manager is an integral part of the Lancaster Catholic Advancement Department and reports to the Director of Advancement and President. This position is responsible for the strategic leadership and implementation of all aspects of the annual giving program as well as engaging volunteer stakeholders in support of Advancement activities and programs. Responsibilities include: cultivating and soliciting gifts from donor prospects, raising funds to meet/exceed the School's Annual Fund revenue goals each year, stewardship of donors, foundation and corporate grant writing, attracting support from the business community for tax credit and business alliance programs and maintaining a portfolio of leadership gift prospects.
Working closely with the Director of Advancement and Advancement Team:
Create and implement a multi-year strategic annual fund plan to grow unrestricted support for the school and increase participation across constituent segments in school advancement campaigns
Develop and implement successful multi-channel (mail, phone, email, social media) solicitation strategies to increase giving and participation.
Conducts all facets of the Annual Fund Phonathon to meet/exceed revenue target.
Manage a portfolio of leadership-level gift prospects and develop the pipeline of major gifts prospects in coordination with the Director of Advancement
Staff the day-to-day work plan for the annual giving program
Lead volunteer engagement/recruitment, training and recognition activities for Advancement programs including alumnae, parents, and corporate partners
Develop and implement a strategy to improve acquisition, renewal and pledge fulfillment of annual fund donors and prospects
Develop and implement strategies to encourage increased and leadership giving Identify best practices, opportunities for capacity building and growth, solicitation strategies and stewardship for the annual giving program
Grow and expand the Reunion Giving program
Grow and expand corporate and foundation grants program with specific responsibility for Tax Credit (EITC, OSTC, SPE) revenue generation growth
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement and President
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3-5 years of fundraising experience
Excellent organizational skills: ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail
Proven record of successful gift cultivation, solicitation and revenue generation results
Exceptional organizational and planning skills
Commitment to donor-centered fundraising and exemplary follow-through
Microsoft Office suite and web proficiency; donor management software experience desired
Excellent communication skills: written and verbal
Strong writing skills, with experience in writing engaging and persuasive appeals
Ability to initiate and build strong relationships with a range of individuals
Proven success working under deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials
Self-directed, team player, accountable for scope of responsibility
Willingness to work some evenings and weekends as needed
