Cardinal Gibbons High School is a vibrant and mission-driven Catholic high school located in the Diocese of Raleigh, NC. We are seeking applicants for a full-time Theology teaching position starting in the fall of 2022.
This individual:
should have relevant background and experience teaching Theology
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Theological Studies preferred or in the process of obtaining one.
should demonstrate proficiency with new technology and a willingness to integrate technology into classroom lessons.
should possess the ability to contribute to other facets of school life beyond the classroom.
should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with the other members of the Theology Department and the whole school in academics, extra-curricular activities, and in furthering the mission of our school.
This position will report to the Assistant Principal of Academics.
Teachers of Religion are required to complete the Basic Catechist Certification for Catholic Schools teachers awarded by the Diocese of Raleigh within the first year or two of hire.
The Certification comprises A) Foundation in Catholic Doctrine, B) Methodology in Catechesis, and C) Catholic School Culture.
