Sacred Heart Catholic School, located in Lombard, Illinois, in the Diocese of Joliet, offers preschool through 8th grade students an education of academic excellence firmly rooted in traditional Catholic doctrine. We form the mind, heart, and spirit of each of our students and prepare them for a life of integrity, service and faith in Christ.
Sacred Heart Catholic School – Mission and Beliefs
Authentic Catholic education is more important than ever. We live in a world increasingly hostile to the faith. Children are exposed to false ideologies and encouraged to uphold secular values, many of which are contrary to the truth. At Sacred Heart, we are unapologetically Catholic. We believe children should be formed in the truth of the Gospel and know their identity and fulfillment in Jesus Christ. While we believe parents are the primary educators of their children, we strive to partner with parents to form their children in the Catholic Faith, traditional values and academic disciplines.
Catholic Identity and Academic Excellence within a Supportive Parish Environment
Academic excellence is critical to our mission. Challenging academic courses are aligned with state and national standards. Religion and technology are integrated throughout all content areas, and a variety of before and after-school programs are structured to meet the spiritual, moral, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs of each child.
Sacred Heart students are actively engaged in learning and in living their faith through an integrated Catholic faith-based curriculum that is both comprehensive and rigorous. The pastor, principal, and teachers strive to educate the whole child spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, personally, and emotionally. A sequential, and integrated curriculum accommodates and supports the diverse learning styles of all students. The talents and abilities of individual children are nurtured through a differentiated academic program that provides both enrichment and academic support opportunities. Sacred Heart Catholic School is fully accredited by the State of Illinois and the Diocese of Joliet.
In addition to serving as an exemplary educational institution, Sacred Heart School is an extension of our vibrant faith community. The pastor and principal work collaboratively to inspire students, parents, and staff to live as Jesus taught by integrating Catholic values not only within the academic setting, but also throughout the parish and the wider community. The school's vibrant Catholic Culture is designed to ensure that every graduate of Sacred Heart is formed in faith, is educated in excellence, and is sent to serve.
