The Diocese of Winona-Rochester is currently seeking a Superintendent of Catholic Schools to provide pro-active leadership to ensure excellence in Catholic school education for the 4 high schools and 30 junior high, elementary and pre-schools located throughout the 20 counties of southern Minnesota. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring the strategic initiatives for Catholic education are in place and reflective of the Bishop’s vision. In addition, the position is responsible for promoting and advancing the Catholic identity, academic excellence and (in conjunction with the diocesan Chief Financial Officer) financial viability of all Catholic schools in the diocese. Reporting to the Vicar General/Moderator of the Curia and the Diocesan Bishop, the chosen individual typically possesses a Master’s degree (Doctorate preferred) in education/school administration and a minimum of 10 years proven success in educational leadership positions. A current Principal licensure is required. Candidates should have a collaborative leadership style, be an effective, articulate communicator, highly skilled at multi-tasking, adaptable to change, effective at interfacing with a diverse group of internal customers and external contacts, an exceptional planner and organizer and must be a practicing Roman Catholic.
