The Ursuline School is a private, independent, Catholic, college preparatory girls’ school, grades 6 through 12. The school was established in 1897 in the spirit of St. Angela Merici, foundress of the Ursuline Order. Position: Full Time -10 months
Level: includes grades 7 -12
Reports to: World Language, Department Chair
Plan, structure, and implement interactive lessons that develop students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Effectively use appropriate technology and tools.
Hold high expectations for every student. Provide necessary accommodations and modifications for growth and success of all students.
Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
Keep students and parents well informed of student progress by providing feedback, focused learning intentions, and clear success criteria.
A bachelor’s degree or higher in language studies
Prior high school teaching experience in content areas a plus
Competency in other World Languages a plus
Excellent communication skills
A master’s degree or teacher certification preferred
