Cardinal Newman School is a diocesan co-educational institution providing a well-rounded education in a college preparatory environment for nearly 500 students in grades seven through twelve. Originally founded in 1858 by the Ursuline sisters, Cardinal Newman opened on the parish grounds of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Columbia as both Ursuline and Catholic High Schools respectively until moving to Forest Drive in 1961, where it remained until December 2015.
