Carries the primary authority and responsibility to provide spiritual and emotional assistance to patients during the course of their hospital stay. This position is also responsible for the delivery of Catholic Sacraments (i.e., Sacrament of the Sick, Eucharist, and Reconciliation) as well as daily and weekend liturgies.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Two years successful pastoral ministry experience in hospital, long-term care, or parish setting.
Documented experience in one of the following areas preferred: palliative care, gerontology, hospice.
Fluency in Spanish preferred.
Experience incorporating music, art or accepted complementary treatment modalities into ministry is a plus.
Ministry experience in a multi-campus setting is a plus.
Eligible and committed to becoming Board Certified by the National Association for Catholic Chaplains or the Association of Professional Chaplains.
Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
This position will be covering vacation coverage (some weekends required).
