Subiaco Academy, a Catholic, Benedictine, college-preparatory day and boarding school for boys in grades 7-12 is seeking applications for a full-time mathematics instructor to begin January 3, 2022. The ability to teach students on the college preparatory and honors levels in Algebra I, Algebra II, and geometry is imperative. The ability to coach a robotics team or sponsor other student activities is also desired.
Subiaco Academy, founded in 1887 by Benedictine Monks, sits on the grounds of Subiaco Abbey in the Arkansas River Valley at the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains in Logan County, Arkansas. We see Christ in each student as we guide him in his response to God, aid the development of his known and hidden talents, and foster his growth into manhood.
The applicant will be a dynamic leader who is able to articulate the mission and values of the school and embrace the Benedictine heritage of the academy. The applicant must possess superior supervisory and mentoring skills; solid communication skills, both written and verbal; and the capability to work well with students, parents, and all constituents in the school community. The ideal applicant is a practicing Catholic who has the qualities of integrity, responsibility, organization, and collaboration; and in addition, outstanding instructional skills and a passion for teaching.
