Coordinate the PLTW professional development and certification of teachers and staff
Procure and maintain PLTW materials inventory
Certification in PLTW Design and Modeling and Computer Science for Innovators and Makers must be completed before the end of the first quarter
Conduct regular PLT meetings with PLTW trained staff and science teachers
Monitor academic progress of PLTW students through data driven analysis
Teach Middle School STEM courses
Maintain and create and maintain student accounts for FACTS SIS, Google, IXL, and iReady
Record and maintain the database of all student accounts for FACTS SIS, Google, IXL, and iReady
Perform first response IT desktop support for teachers and staff
Perform administrative tasks for FACTS SIS – Run report cards, promote students, set security policies, synchronize student accounts with google classroom
Update STMs school website
Provide IT support to parents by providing how-to videos and assistance for accessing student account
Assist with the beginning and end of year Chromebook check in and check out process and coordinate student loaners.
Approving Digital tools for use in the classroom accordingly with the privacy and child protection act and School policies
Maintain the teachers updated with the new instructional tools approved and planning professional development time for the school year.
Train students in the digital citizenship curriculum and use and protection of the devices provided by the school.
Position Start Date: 08/09/2021
Bachelor's degree in Education, or STEM related field
Knowledge of inquiry-based learning
Secondary Teaching License in science, math or technology preferred
3-5 years elementary to middle school level teaching experience
Curriculum development experience
Experience with Project Lead the Way curriculum
