Founded in 1963, by parents who wanted a faith-based and rigorous education for their daughters, Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart serves 368 girls in grades JK-12, with a co-ed Early Childhood Program. As a member of the global community of Sacred Heart Schools, Stuart offers highly engaging and innovative programs, all of which take advantage of the way girls learn. Stuart is dedicated to an education for faith, knowledge, social justice, community, and personal growth while providing a commitment to the intellectual dimension of faith. The school has a deep commitment to equity and inclusion and promotes a culture where young women understand and have deep respect for diversity. Stuart is uniquely positioned, as the only all-girls school in Princeton, to create an environment where students are encouraged, and expected, to try new things, participate, work together, and be leaders.
Current Head of School Patty Fagin, who has served as Head for 11 years, is set to retire at the conclusion of the 2021-22 school year. At this time, Stuart Country Day School seeks a dynamic leader as its next Head of School starting July 1, 2022. The successful candidate will be an experienced educational leader devoted to the school’s all-girls mission and program. The Head of School has oversight of all organizational activities and serves as the school’s academic and spiritual leader, fostering a climate of excellence and ethical growth among students, faculty, and staff.
