The HR Campus Partner, Learning & Development will collaborate with department leaders and key constituents to assess the University’s evolving training and development needs and provide effective responses. The HR Campus Partner will design and deliver presentations, conduct workshops, and when appropriate, utilize outside consultants to deliver training and educational programming/resources.
? Oversee the assessment of training needs and requirements as a strategic partner to University department leaders and design learning modalities. ? Design and development a training program to assist employees with professional development to create a thriving community that focuses on growth. ? Manage the Bridge professional development platform, providing support to managers and employees of the University ? Design and deliver diversity and inclusion, leadership and professional development programming aligned with the strategic University plan in conjunction with the Office of Inclusion and Diversity. ? Implement and deliver inclusive recruitment/hiring training for all University hiring managers and search committee members. ? Revamp and maintain a consistent and compelling onboarding program, orienting new employees and faculty to the values and culture of the University. Partner with campus constituents to deliver a comprehensive new employee orientation program (at least three times per year) ? Working closely with the Director of Talent Management and Engagement and University leaders, to develop a management and supervisor training program, including the new supervisor orientation program (at least two times per year). ? Facilitate strategic planning sessions for departments and divisions ? Provide team building, coaching services for the University that help teams work effectively together ? Partner with the Director of Talent Management and Engagement to redesign all aspects of the performance management process, including maintaining forms, drafting instructions and advising departments; providing annual educational sessions to support this ongoing process. ? Build online learning management system and maintain content for compliance changes and professional development ? Update and rollout all compliance related training to the University community (i.e. minors on campus, DEI/Anti-Harassment training, Title IX training) ? Other duties as assigned
? Support the planning and facilitation of HR-sponsored events including wellness events, the SJU Thanks U event, Merit Awards, and Decades of Service ? Serves as the backup to the talent management/employee relations area ? With the other HR Campus Partners, provides back up support to all areas of HR including general coordination of the front desk. ? Serve as HR liaison to on University Committees as approved or requested by the CHRO
? A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; ? At least 3-5 years of work experience designing and delivering employee training required ? Work experience with the delivery of presentations and workshops required ? Excellent communication and office technology skills are required ? Comprehensive knowledge of adult training & development, organizational development and diversity practices. ? Comprehensive knowledge of instructional design methods.
? Master’s degree preferred ? Work experience with the management of diversity and inclusion activities, highly preferred ? Experience in higher education environment
