The impact is clear: Cristo Rey graduates enroll and graduate from college at more than twice the rate of their low-income high school graduate peers. Position Summary The Associate Director of Business Development is a member of the Cristo Rey Network national office’s CWSP team. This team supports 40+ Corporate Work Study Directors and 125+ Corporate Work Study Coordinators at Network schools. The team members are responsible for (1) delivering professional development, (2) supporting schools in their sales / job acquisition efforts, (3) refining and implementing our workforce training curriculum and (4) managing our CWSP Salesforce platform. The Associate Director of Business Development supports Network school CWSP Directors, Presidents and Boards of Directors in their job acquisition and renewal efforts (i.e. obtain and retain corporate partners who hire our students for paid jobs). This individual will help schools to achieve their job acquisition and renewal goals by providing training in the areas of (1) sales cultivation, (2) job acquisition, (3) job renewals and (4) customer service. In addition to providing training, this individual is tasked with national corporate partner sales and account management (i.e. corporations who hire students from multiple schools). Key Responsibilities - Sales and Customer Service Leadership
- Refine our Sales Value Proposition ensuring it (1) is meaningful to our local communities and business markets and (2) aligns with relevant and equitable workforce trends.
- Develop compelling original collateral for CWSP sales teams.
- Define best in class CWSP sales and customer service procedures (planning, sales, cross functional collaboration, customer service, account management, use of Salesforce).
- Define key sales and success metrics to allow for monitoring and analysis of partner acquisition, retention and experience.
- Sales and Customer Service Training
- Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with CWSP Directors, school Presidents and Boards of Directors.
- Develop and deliver a world-class professional development program for CWSP Directors focused on sales cultivation, job acquisition, job renewals and customer service.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and support to schools helping them to align their sales and customer service procedures with best practices while acknowledging local variables. Coaching focus areas may include but are not limited to:
- growing service and programming offerings with existing corporate partners.
- obtaining multi-year renewals with existing corporate partners.
- expanding into new industry segments.
- Build your own knowledge and expertise by participating in relevant professional development.
- National Sales and Customer Service
- Collaborate with CWSP Directors to identify local corporate partners with the potential to become national corporate partners (i.e. employ student workers from multiple schools).
- Act as account manager / single point of contact for national corporate partners who employ student workers from multiple schools:
- Develop and maintain relationships with national corporate partners.
- Grow sales with national corporate partners (i.e. additional student workers from different schools).
- Conduct regular check-ins with national corporate partners to reinforce sales value proposition, provide support and address any issues.
Qualifications and Skills - Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s Degree preferred)

- A minimum of seven years experience in a sales / business development. Experience working at a nonprofit and/or in the secondary education industry is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of project management, strategic planning and sales planning.
- Experience coaching, managing and conducting professional development for sales professionals.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and people management skills, including a previous track record of leading others to be successful.
- Content knowledge in relevant topics including labor market trends, workforce development and economic advancement
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word required. Experience with G-Suite and Salesforce strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly growing entrepreneurial organization.
- Ability to travel to Cristo Rey Network schools and Cristo Rey Network meetings on a regular basis.
