St. John Vianney Catholic School in St. Pete Beach, FL is seeking a school principal for the 2021-2022 academic year, with a start date of July 1, 2021. Celebrating nearly 70 years of educating and forming students, we currently serve 210 students in grades Prek4-8th Grade. Our parish school is seeking a leader who is an active Catholic and is passionate about Christ-centered education, quality academics, and ensuring the best possible future for our students. St. John Vianney Catholic School is accredited through Florida Catholic Conference to provide the highest quality educational experience for our students.
Be a practicing Catholic;
Possess (or be eligible to receive) a State of Florida principal certificate, including required graduate coursework in educational leadership;
Have a minimum of five years’ experience teaching or five years’ experience leading in a school setting preferably in a Catholic school;
Have exceptional communication skills and an ability to work with students, parents, school staff and parish representatives;
Have experience in fiscal management and school budgets;
Have experience in merging Catholic traditions with best instructional practices in the 21st Century;
Be able to meet the requirements for principals established by the Diocese of St. Petersburg, by the State of Florida Department of Education, and by Florida Catholic Conference requirements;
Be able to obtain director’s license for the VPK program;
Pass Level II Fingerprinting and complete Safe Environment training and all necessary training per DOSP requirements
