Cristo Rey Kansas City provides a Catholic, college prep education enhanced by an innovative corporate work study program to culturally diverse students with economic need. Founded in 2006 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Cristo Rey KC serves approximately 300 students in grades 9 – 12. Located in the Midtown neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri, Cristo Rey draws students from diverse backgrounds from 64 unique feeder schools across the greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area over two million citizens. Beginning with the first graduating class of 2010, Cristo Rey seniors have a 100% acceptance rate into college for eleven consecutive years with over twenty five million dollars of scholarship money awarded during that span. Full time faculty members not only teach, they inspire. They work in conjunction with all stakeholders to create a college prep environment to prepare all students for the rigors of post-secondary education and life.
