The person hired will direct and oversee all Advancement personnel, programs and processes including Annual Giving, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Endowment Growth, Stewardship, Constituent Records, Alumni Involvement, and Special Events. The advancement initiatives and activities are executed in coordination with the Diocesan Office of Development. The position dedicates approximately 75% to the development efforts at St. John Paul II High School and 25% to Bishop Garriga Middle School. The position is a key member of the Diocesan Catholic Schools Development Team, which consists primarily of development personnel or volunteers from all Catholic Schools in the Diocese for the purpose of mutual support, coordination, and professional development.
Will demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of the mission of the Roman Catholic Church;
Will embrace the mission of St. John Paul II High School and Bishop Garriga Middle School to provide young women and men the opportunity to develop their God-given talents through academic excellence and co-curricular programs as well as to empower them to develop zeal for their faith with a commitment to prayer and service;
Will possess a Bachelor's Degree or higher;
Will have 3+ years of successful Advancement experience in Fund Development (annual, major, endowed and planned), preferably at the secondary and/or university level;
Will have prior supervisory experience and the ability to lead a team as a whole and supervise individual members to achieve the goals of the Advancement Office and the school;
Will possess excellent communication skills and has the ability to build relations with the school community and the external community.
