Strategic Recruitment Associate

 Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart is sponsored by the Society of the Sacred Heart and is part of an international network of schools in thirty-four countries. Sacred Heart schools are guided by the educational vision of Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat as articulated in the Goals and Criteria.

Under the leadership of the Director of Social Awareness and Community Relations and in partnership with the Admissions Office, the Strategic Recruitment Associate is responsible for building relationships with community partners, organizations, and professional networks for the purposes of yielding mission appropriate prospective family applicants to Carrollton from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This position is integral to Carrollton’s efforts to advance Social Justice, Inclusion, and Diversity initiatives in the school community, specifically as it relates to the needs of diverse students and families, both during the admissions process and while participating in all aspects of school life. Essential duties and responsibilities

• Represent Carrollton as a Christ-centered institution rooted in the mission and values expressed through Sacred Heart to prospective families and students.
• Lead recruitment efforts with an emphasis on increasing applications from mission appropriate students from diverse backgrounds.
• Assist with admissions marketing strategy and parent relations activities.
• Implement student retention strategies, especially for families from diverse backgrounds.
• Represent the admissions office at school events, especially those with a focus on community outreach.
• Act as a liaison between the school and local communities of color to support the school’s outreach initiatives
• Network with diversity coordinators at other Catholic and independent schools as well as off-campus cultural resource organizations.
• Participate in feeder school events that may include public speaking on behalf of the school
• Assist with and support school related efforts to recruit a diverse faculty and staff
• Utilize research to inform best practices
• Participate in reflective, self-directed, on-going professional development
• Participate in staff meetings, liturgies, retreats, school assemblies, and special events such as, but not limited to, admissions showcases, events with community partners, etc. as needed
• Willingness and ability to work 12 months, and outside of regular school hours
• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Intercultural competency with a deep respect for diversity
• Experience working in an independent school environment, preferably in admissions or community relations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on public speaking ability
• Bachelor’s degree
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work effectively as a team member as well as independently
