We have been retained by Bishop Richard F. Stika and his team to lead the search for the next president of Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga, TN. This is the oldest private secondary school in Chattanooga with a distinguished history of service to the community. Founded in 1876 by the Dominican Sisters, the school enrolls nearly 400 young men and women and is on the cusp of an exciting new 8-point strategic plan to take this fine school to the next level. The next president will have an opportunity to work with diocesan leadership in executing the plan including the development of a new Board of Trustees comprised of prominent and dedicated leaders in the Greater Chattanooga community. This is a promising time for Catholic schools in the Diocese of Knoxville, and we are honored to lead this important search.
To qualify for this exceptional opportunity, you will need to be a practicing Catholic and accomplished servant leader with passion for the vital mission of Catholic schools. The diocese welcomes candidates from other Catholic or independent schools and dioceses as well as accomplished executives from other mission-critical career venues such as higher education; non-profit foundations, associations, charities and the like; or the corporate, civic, and professional services arenas. While knowledge of education and school operations is preferred, other qualities and experiences are also valued, especially visionary, entrepreneurial leadership and the ability to inspire, lead a high performing team, and create demand for the extraordinary gifts of a Catholic education. The position profile is under development and will be posted soon.
We are on a fast track to meet the Bishop’s desire to make a hiring decision as soon as possible in order to ensure a timely and orderly transition.
