The Center for Integrative Health supports health and wellness programs for Duquesne University’s campus and neighboring communities, and facilitates interdisciplinary education and research opportunities for students and faculty. Under the direction of the Director of The Center for Integrative Health, the Business and Administration Coordinator is responsible for managing the business operations of the Center. This is a complex professional position which involves high level budget, contract and inventory management, management and coordination of all collaborations within the Center, and considerable exercise of initiative and independent judgment. This position requires excellent communication skills due to extensive contact with internal and external stakeholders. Work schedule may vary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads the business planning, budgeting, and reporting efforts that align with the Center for Integrative Health’s priorities.
Develops and research opportunities to grow the Center’s initiatives and financial health.
Plan the workflow, look for areas of process improvement, and direct available resources and personnel to accomplish this.
Manages and coordinate all collaborations within the Center for Integrative Health and with other University departments and outside stakeholders to ensure compliance with all University and regulatory standards, and promote growth of the Center.
Oversees event planning and internal and external promotion of the Center.
Attends compliance training and adhere to the organization’s standards of conduct, policies and procedures.
Coordinates and track compliance with all regulatory training and standards.
Provides governance and oversight for inventory analysis and replenishment strategies.
Provides requested ad hoc support.
Performs other related job duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and/or business school with major course work in accounting, finance or business administration field and 3 to 5 years relevant work experience
MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Experience in a higher education setting is highly preferred, or any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential job functions.
