The Campus Minister is responsible for the faith formation of students and staff at Catholic Memorial High School. In collaboration with students, staff, and parish priests, together with the school Chaplin, the Campus Minister leads the faith culture within the school community. The Campus Minister leads liturgical celebrations, prayer services, retreats, and the service program all in alignment with the school’s mission.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Promote the mission of Catholic Memorial High School as a culture of faith, service, compassion, justice, and respect.
Lead the planning and implementation of prayer services, masses, and retreats.
Help support students, faculty/staff, and alumni to develop lifelong engagement with their faith and spirituality
Coordinate the seasonal celebrations of the Church year.
Support and encourage service by students and faculty within the school and the broader community.
Lead and coordinate the annual Crusader Day of Service Projects and support the Thanksgiving Dinner.
Development of an annual Campus Ministry calendar and budget.
Provide communication to students, parents and staff on offerings of the Campus Ministry program.
Collaborate and engage parent volunteers.
Collaborate with and empower leaders to moderate faith-based clubs/orgs (Operational Michael, Prolife, Services Club, International, Rosary Club, etc.,)
Responsible for vocations programming.
Coordinate speakers for Campus Ministry and faith formation efforts of the school.
Serve as the coordinator for the student Campus Ministry Leadership Team. Provide guidance, leadership and programming for those students in going deeper in their faith and living more intentionally their commitment to the community.
Collaborate with other members of the Leadership Team and their departments for special events, school initiatives and inter-departmental efforts to advance the school.
Other responsibilities include: Am/Pm prayer, organize events for Catholic Schools week, participate in Principal’s Advisory Council, Student Services Team, Administrative Team, Professional Learning Team on Catholic Identity.
Limited travel required for offsite meetings and over night retreats.
Implement and execute on other duties and projects as assigned by the President.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Theology or Religious Studies.
A Catholic in good standing with an active faith life that supports the teachings and spirituality of the Catholic Church.
Ability to work collaboratively with students and staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
Some evening and weekend work required.
Proper completion of Safe-Guarding certification or willing to obtain certification prior to start date.
Bilingual abilities are a plus.
