Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School Mission
Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School is a parish school serving students in grades K through 8. Founded in 1853, we are committed to excellence in preparing our students to think critically and become confident, sensitive Catholic leaders modeled in the image of Jesus Christ prepared to succeed in future academic endeavors and contribute to the community.
To accomplish this mission, challenging academic courses are aligned with Cardinal Newman Society Catholic Curriculum Standards as well as with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools. Religion and technology are integrated throughout all content areas, and a variety of before and after-school programs are structured to meet the spiritual, moral, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs of each child. Students are actively engaged in learning and in living their faith through a rigorous Catholic faith-based curriculum that is both comprehensive and rigorous. The talents and abilities of individual children are nurtured through a differentiated academic program that provides enrichment and academic support opportunities. Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School is fully accredited by the State of Illinois and the Diocese of Joliet.
In addition to serving as an exemplary educational institution, Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School is central to a vibrant faith community and is a vital ministry of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Principal and staff work together with the Pastor and other parish leaders to meet the goals of school and parish life. This team works collaboratively to inspire students, parents, and staff to live as Jesus taught by integrating Catholic values not only within the academic setting, but also throughout the parish and the wider community. The school's robust Catholic Culture is designed to ensure that every graduate of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School is formed in faith, educated in excellence, and sent to serve.
