The Dean of Students is appointed by, reports to, and is accountable to the Principal in consultation with the President.
The Dean of Students is employed, supervised, evaluated and retained by the Principal in consultation with the President.

Faith Community Affairs
Upholds and models a moral code which is consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and the mission of the school.
Ensures that all student programs reflect the Catholic mission of the school.
Ensures the development and enhancement of our faith community and the integration of faith with the learning process in all aspects of the student affairs programs of the school.
Responsible for the tone and climate of the school
Annually reviews the discipline and decorum policies of the school and recommends changes to the Principal and Principal’s team.
Ensures compliance with all Diocesan, regional and state regulations with regard to student affairs (student conduct, attendance, health, safety, legal requirements, etc).
Works with the House Director, Director of Campus Ministry, Student Leadership Coordinator, grade level and club moderators to provide a variety of student activities consistent with the mission of the school.
Provides pre-service and in-service for members of the faculty and staff in the area of student discipline.
Works with the Care Team to identify and help students who need more support in the areas of academics, attendance, relational and behavioral issues.
Works with the Principal and Principal’s team in planning and implementing an orientation program for new teachers.
Supervises the student discipline and decorum program, keeping accurate and current records.
Coordinates policies, procedures and records with regard to student attendance.
Supervises and schedules hair sampling and oral testing, keeping accurate and current records, and following up with families when appropriate.
Ensures that all school events, in conjunction with the Athletic Director and other members of the Principal’s Team, are supervised and attends/supervises school events .
Assists with the supervision and evaluation of faculty and staff as assigned by the Principal especially in instances where classroom management is involved.
Keeps abreast of current developments in Catholic education.
Provides regular reports of all plans and progress relevant to this role to various constituencies of the school when appropriate.
Liaisons and Other Responsibilities
Serves as representative of the academic and student affairs program to the Principal.
Represents the school to the Diocese as required by Diocesan, state and regional policies and rules regarding Principals and Assistant Principals.
Attends and contributes to regular meetings of the Principal’s Team.
Represents the interests of the school to Diocesan, local, regional, state and national associations in consultation with the Principal.
Participates in an annual performance evaluation by the Principal.
Performs other duties as required by the Principal.
