St. John Vianney Catholic School in St. Pete Beach, FL is seeking a school principal for the 2019-2020 academic year, with a start date of July 1, 2019. The school is seeking an active Catholic who will be a faith leader as well as an academic leader of a Catholic parish school, serving 210 students in grades PreK – 8th Grade. St. John Vianney Catholic School is an authorized International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme school and is accredited through the Florida Catholic Conference in an effort to provide the highest quality educational experience for our students.
Each candidate must:
Be a practicing Catholic;
Possess (or be eligible to receive) a State of Florida principal certificate, including required graduate coursework in educational leadership;
Have a minimum of five years’ experience teaching or five years’ experience leading in a school setting preferably in a Catholic school;
Have exceptional communication skills and an ability to work with students, parents, school staff and parish representatives;
Have experience in fiscal management and school budgets;
Have experience in merging Catholic traditions with best instructional practices in the 21st Century;
Be able to meet the requirements for principals established by the Diocese of St. Petersburg, the State of Florida Department of Education, and the Florida Catholic Conference requirements;
Pass Level II Background check and complete Safe Environment training and all necessary training per DOSP requirements
