Position Summary - The Assistant Superintendent has primary responsibility for implementing and planning for Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, Catholic Identity, Accreditation and Professional Staff Development. Collaborates with the Superintendent and the other school administrators in implementing the mission of the Catholic Schools. Participates in the comprehensive planning, implementation and evaluation of the school programs and services. Assists and is accountable to the Superintendent of Catholic Schools and assists in the administration of the Catholic Schools Office and the schools of the Diocese.
Qualifications - Qualified candidates will be a practicing active Catholic with a strong commitment to Catholic education. The individual must have a Master’s Degree in education administration or related field with 5 years of experience as a principal or administrator; previous experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Knowledge of certification/accreditation process and experience with federal, state and local education regulations and programs. Strong organizational ability and competence in effective management systems. Ability to act with professional discretion; works with and safeguards sensitive and confidential information.
