St Rita School is seeking an experienced and collaborative learning specialist to support student learning and curriculum in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 1st grade. The successful learning specialist candidate should have experience serving students with diverse learning styles, offer remedial and intervention services, and the ability to contribute to a strong enrichment program. This individual will work with our teachers and our counselor and will report to the Dean of the Student Success Center.
Qualifications: Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with early childhood, elementary, and /or special education endorsements.
Knowledge of the committee/team process of developing Individual Plans (IP) or Individual Accommodation Plans. The ability to support families through the educational evaluations process and help schedule support services.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Content Mastery for students in 1st grade
Early intervention screenings for student’s Pre-K through 1st grade
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside support staff to develop Student Accommodation Plans and help support students and their learning needs Pre-K through 1st grade
Collaborate with teachers to support differentiating in the classroom and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
Case Manager of students in Pre-K through 1st Exhibits outstanding organizational and time management skills for managing a large workload.

St. Rita Catholic School is a Catholic, co-educational day school for students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. The school was established in 1964 by the Jesuits in conjunction with the formation of St. Rita Catholic Church.
