ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL / PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR for 2019-20 SCHOOL YEAR:
St. Gregory Catholic School is a Catholic community in Phoenix, Arizona, educating more than 450 students from preschool through eighth grade. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated principal/preschool director and Catholic educator who will embrace the challenges and excitement of a long-established school in order to partner with parents and the parish community to educate the whole child while helping our students find God in all things through learning, faith and service.
The Candidate must be a practicing, faith-filled Catholic, possess a Master’s degree in Educational Administration or a related field and be able to be state certified as a Principal in Arizona. The successful candidate will be committed to the values of Catholic education and family, be an excellent promoter of the school, and insist on academic excellence. The candidate must be a collaborative decision maker working with staff, parents and the entire parish community in overseeing every aspect of this ministry for St. Gregory Parish. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. Knowledge of finances, good communication, and well-formed public relation skills are essential. A progressive and innovative vision of education for the 21st century that includes knowledge of preschool and kindergarten through 8th grade academic and catechetical curriculum, special education programs, technology and current teaching methodologies to reach all our students is crucial. Candidate must understand the professional development needs of teachers. The candidate must have the ability to relate well with children, parents, teachers, and the community at large, honor the traditions and culture of St. Gregory Catholic School, and work collaboratively with the Pastor and School Advisory Board to lead the school positively in its mission.
