St. Joseph School, a Pre-K through 12th grade parochial school in Hilo, Hawaii, is seeking a spiritual and dynamic leader. The Principal, as the Head of School, will nurture an environment in which the Gospel is experienced by all. Founded April 1, 1869, St. Joseph School is the oldest private school and the only Catholic school on the beautiful island of Hawaii (also known as "The Big Island"). With over 300 students, St. Joseph offers a co-educational Preschool through Grade 12, college preparatory education, and embraces the uniqueness of each student through a rigorous academic program. Have a Master’s Degree or its equivalent (certification in administration preferred).
Be a practicing Catholic living a lifestyle consistent with Catholic moral values and exercising professional conduct consistent with Catholic teaching.
Have demonstrated leadership ability.
Have five (5) years of demonstrated success in teaching.
Have a commitment to a Catholic philosophy of education.
