Rosary Academy seeks a strong, dynamic, innovative, energetic leader capable of sustaining a thriving educational environment. This position requires a visionary administrator with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and a collaborative leadership style. The Assistant Head of School/Principal reports to the Head of School and oversees the daily operations of the school, serving as the leader of the faculty and of the school’s academic programs. By lived example, the Assistant Head of School/Principal assists the Head of School in the spiritual leadership of the school and in directing and maintaining the Catholic identity of the school.
Rosary Academy is a Catholic, college-preparatory school for young women located within the Diocese of Orange and the suburban area of the city of Fullerton, enrolling 370 students. Founded in 1965, the school has a tradition of fostering academic excellence, spiritual development, and the skills necessary for a fulfilled, well-balanced life. Rosary Academy is a ministry of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Orange.
The Assistant Head plays a major role in the life of the school and is expected to be deeply involved in the day-to-day work of faculty and students. Therefore, extensive experience in a Catholic school setting is paramount for this position: candidates with advanced degrees and strong backgrounds in administration, teaching, advising, and coaching will be preferred.
