Oversees all areas of development including planning, coordination, implementation, and management of all fundraising activities. Advises the Headmaster regarding overall department and organizational goals, objectives, programs, policies, and procedures, whenever fund raising /stewardship or related activities are involved. Serves on the Senior Administrative Team bringing a focus on fund raising and stewardship to all meetings.
Implements and manages Monte Cassino School’s development program with emphasis on the following areas:

Essential Job Responsibilities
Supervises, trains, and manages Development Office staff.
Develops in coordination with the Development staff and the Development Committee Chair the annual strategic focus for the Development Office; oversees its implementation and evaluation.
Prepares and manages the Development Office budget.
Works with volunteer boards and organizations – including Board of Directors, Parent Teacher Organization, and alumni – to maximize their support and involvement in fund raising activities.
Serves as staff liaison to the Development Committee of the Board of Directors.
Responsible for the wealth screening program and use and confidentiality of data
Reports monthly to the Board of Directors on progress toward accomplishing the goal set out in the Development Office’s strategic focus and campaign plan.
Responsible for gift stewardship/accountability procedures to ensure that gifts and grants are used for the purposes for which they were given and that donors receive follow-up reports when necessary or appropriate.
Works with Headmaster to maximize his involvement in fund raising activities, both for annual fund campaign and special events/fundraisers.
Works closely with the Admissions, Finance, and Marketing offices/programs.
Other responsibilities may be added by the Headmaster as needed.

Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred.

Demonstrated experience and success in the fundraising profession, particularly in annual giving and fundraisers with proven success in fund raising in a leadership capacity.
Strong familiarity with software applications relevant to the advancement profession. Working experience using the full suite of Blackbaud products, especially Raiser’s Edge, preferred
