The newly formed Racine Catholic Schools System, consisting of five PreK-8 elementary schools and one middle/high school, seeks a dynamic and creative leader who can serve as its President / Chief Executive Officer. Racine, population 79,000, is located in southeast Wisconsin within the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Currently, the Racine Catholic schools serve a highly diverse population of approximately 1,600 students. The model of the new System, supported by all Racine parishes, is focused on academic excellence, enrollment growth, and the integration of faith and culture within the schools.
The President is the Chief Executive Officer of the System. The President is hired by and reports to the System’s Board of Directors. As the spiritual leader of the System, the President ensures that the Catholic character of the schools is visible and meaningful. The President will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a System that meets or exceeds the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Schools.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Demonstrated commitment to and passion for Catholic education as an integral ministry of the Church
A minimum of five years’ experience as a proven school leader and a graduate degree
Knowledge of and demonstrated success in the areas of public relations, development, and fundraising
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
The ability to motivate, train, supervise, and hold personnel accountable in a team environment
Willingness and ability to solicit gifts from charitable gift prospects
Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekend hours as the position requires
